A new dedicated website, www.fleadhaccommodation.com now allows home owners to add their accommodation while visitors can search for available rooms and houses around Tullamore during the 2009 Fleadh Cheoil.
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann takes place in Tullamore from 16th August 2009 to 23rd August 2009.
Hundreds of beds are required to cater for the huge volume of visitors, set to descend on Tullamore for the August event and this new dedicated website allows people to submit applications as well as searching for Fleadh approved accommodation.
And, we need your beds.
The Fleadh is currently accepting offers of rooms and houses in and around Tullamore during the 2009 event. There is a huge demand for both B&B and self catering for the August event and the organisers are asking people to consider either providing B&B or self catering for the forthcoming event.
Organisers for Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann 2009 are working on expanding their current database of accommodation providers they have built up over the past two years and are asking people, who have not already put their names forward, to do so.
“This new dedicated website will be huge tool in the provision of accommodation for the August event. Hundreds of beds are required.
"We are urging people in Tullamore and its environs to come forward with offers of accommodation for the August event. We are very thankful to everyone who has accommodated people over the past two years and without their support, we would not be able to host this event.
“However, like every year, we are always looking for more people to come forward as the numbers attending the event grows ever year," explained Attracta Brady, Chairperson of the 2009 organising committee.
"To accommodate the thousands of performers and visitor, houses and rooms are required from both the commercial and private sector for a number of durations. We have brought this new dedicated website online to allow people to offer their homes while letting people searching for what accommodation is available during the Fleadh," she stressed.
"We have had phenomenal support over the past two years and we are hoping that people will continue to show their support of this fantastic event once again in 2009. We would urge people to contact either our accommodations office or through our new dedicated website,” Attracta added.
